I perused the Care2 site, listed as #1 in the Philanthropy category. Care2 is an "online hub of people who care about the world and want to make it better." Care2 gathers together websites for human health and social well-being, the environment, wildlife etc. (I enjoyed browsing through the Snow Leopard Trust's website).
